1. Acceptance of Terms
By reserving a safari permit, booking a heritage journey, or otherwise engaging the services of Ranthambore Safari Tours ("we", "us", "our"), you ("the guest") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
All safaris are conducted within Ranthambore National Park under permits issued by the Rajasthan Forest Department. Our terms operate in conjunction with — and never in place of — the rules laid down by the Park authority, which remain final and binding.
2. Booking & Permits
- Safari permits are issued by the Forest Department and are strictly limited in number per shift. A booking is confirmed only upon successful allotment of a permit — not at the time of payment.
- Permits are non-transferable. The name, age, and government ID furnished at the time of booking must exactly match the details of the traveller boarding the vehicle.
- We recommend booking core-zone safaris at least 90 days in advance during peak season (October–March), as permits are exhausted quickly.
- Vehicle type — 6-seater Gypsy or 20-seater Canter — is subject to availability and Forest Department allotment.
3. Payment & Pricing
All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of permit fees, vehicle charges, and naturalist guide, unless stated otherwise. A representative core-zone Gypsy safari is priced from ₹1,20,000 / person for a curated 3-night expedition.
Full payment is required to secure a permit. Government-mandated fees, differential foreign-national charges, and camera fees are levied as per prevailing Forest Department rates and may change without prior notice.
4. Cancellation & Refunds
- 30+ days before safari: full refund less a nominal processing charge.
- 15–29 days: 50% of the tour value is refundable.
- Under 15 days & no-shows: non-refundable.
- Permit fees paid to the Forest Department are governed by their refund policy and are, in most cases, non-refundable regardless of our own terms.
5. Safari Timings
Safaris operate in two shifts daily — a morning and an afternoon drive — with timings shifting seasonally with sunrise and sunset. Guests must report to the designated pick-up point at least 30 minutes before departure; late arrivals cannot be accommodated and forfeit the permit without refund.
The Park generally remains closed for tourism during the monsoon (1 July – 30 September) for core zones, though select buffer zones may stay open. Timings are indicative and subject to Forest Department directives.
6. Zone Allotment
Ranthambore is divided into zones 1 – 10. Zone allocation is performed by the Forest Department's computerised system and is beyond our control. While we may register a preferred zone on your behalf, we cannot guarantee any specific zone. Tiger sightings are a privilege of the wild and can never be promised in any zone.
7. Identification
Every traveller must carry the original, valid government photo identification used at the time of booking — Passport for foreign nationals; Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving Licence, or PAN for Indian nationals. Entry is denied without matching original ID, and no refund is payable in such an event.
8. Park Conduct & Wildlife Ethics
- Maintain silence. Do not shout, whistle, or play music — noise distresses wildlife and ruins the experience for others.
- Single-use plastic, alcohol, tobacco, and firearms are strictly prohibited inside the Park.
- Do not feed, tease, or attempt to touch any animal. Remain seated within the vehicle at all times.
- No littering. Carry back everything you bring in.
- Follow all instructions of your naturalist guide and driver without exception. Non-compliance may result in immediate removal from the Park without refund.
9. Liability & Force Majeure
A safari is an expedition into an untamed wilderness. The guest participates at their own risk. Ranthambore Safari Tours shall not be liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from wildlife encounters, terrain, weather, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or closures caused by force majeure events — including but not limited to Park closures, government orders, adverse weather, or natural calamity. Alternative dates will be offered where feasible.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. Questions regarding these terms may be directed to our team at info@ranthamboresafaritours.in.
